Karen's Transcription Service was established in Cape Cod Massachusetts in 1997 by owner Karen Gammon.

Karen has over 19 years of transcription experience, and holds a degree in Business Administration, Medical Assisting, and Medical Billing/Coding.

In the years prior to establishing Karen's Transcription Service, Karen was employed with Cape Cod Hospital in various positions including Radiology Transcription, Cardiology Transcription, Emergency Department Transcription, Surgical Services Secretary, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, Admitting Clerk, and Patient Registration Clerk. She had also served many other medical offices and facilities throughout the Mid-Cape area in the transcription field during this time as well.

In 1997, Karen saw the need in the local medical and legal community, for a more personalized customer service oriented form of transcription service. One that could incorporate a team of specialized professional transcribers dedicated to providing accurate quality work with a fast turnaround time. A company which would provide a secure and responsible service regardless of how little or high the volume of work, and have someone from the company in the clients office everyday.

Karen Gammon started such a company when she established Karen's Transcription Service in 1997, and over the past 12 years of business has provided her clients with just that type of service.
